...In so few words. Perhaps the most brilliant paragraph of the millenium so far--from Charlotte Allen's WSJ review of "Encountering the Mystery," by Patriarch Bartholomew I of [sic] Constantinople:

On first reading, this exercise in fiddling while the new Rome burns seems pathetic, presenting a picture of a church leader so intimidated by his country's Islamic majority that he cannot speak up for his dwindling flock even as its members are murdered at his doorstep. Bartholomew's book presents an eerie mirror image of the concerns of aging, culturally exhausted, post-Christian Western Europe, happy to blather on at conferences about carbon emissions and diversity but unwilling to confront its own demographic crisis in the face of youthful, rapidly growing and culturally antagonistic Muslim populations. The suicide of the West meets the homicide of the East.

Erie indeed. Another example of the stranglehold of liberalism grasped around on our own throats. As you
say, "the suicide of the West meets the homicide of the East."
When a church goes liberal the church dies. Why should the people who believe the more they sin, they more they can know God's love, make the effort to attend church? Such thinking makes every decision "whatever".

The true gospel changes hearts and lives. Better to fear God and die with your spirit intact, than to fear man and murder both the body and the soul.

Is this a conservative or a Western thing? I think the larger problem is a disregarding of the globally unifying truth of human nature.

Powerful image. Mournful and true.

It definately is a preview to the coming Eurabia. One signifigant aspect is the emigration of native Europeans to their west, namely USA and Canada. It appears this emigration is currently at a record pace from Holland from what I heard from some Hollanders I have recently encountered.

Demographic warfare is one of the most effective methods of 4GW (4th Generation Warfare) employed by the Ummah in Europe. The Euros gave the North Africans and Turks the "jobs they did not want to do", as the old cliche goes. This is how it starts.

It will be interesting to see how the Euro situation develops. The Western Hemisphere or "New World" can learn much from the observations.

I believe my Muslim sisters shall become a major force in Europe as things transpire. They are a force to watch. They see an opportunity to gan rights they did not have in their former lands. They may be a major force in the reformation of Islam.

Be not afraid.

Salaam eleikum Y'all!
